it depends if you drop the car or not. if you leave it at stock height, you will have no problems. If you drop it you may have problems due to the negative camber in the rear after the drop. it depends on the offsets of the wheel. Mine barely had enough clearance on the inside fender after the drop, even with stretched tires. I am using a camber kit made by kmac to straighten out the wheels and give more positive camber in the rear. So far so good and it will allow me to put any size tire i want on the rear. you could also try spacers in the rear to clear the inside, but i hate using spacers unless absolutely necessary, and you will have to make sure it clears the outside fender. a fender roll may be required if you use spacers.

even on springs you will get negative camber. I purchased my camber kit for $400 new from KMAC. try the classified section, theres always someone selling, or contact ghostrider on this forum. I believe he makes camber kits for the CLK for around $250 if i can remember correctly

again it really depends on the offset of the wheel. I can just say from my experience that i barely cleared with a 245 tire on the rear. Running a 265 tire would be impossible for me to do without the camber kit. I believe my rears are -32et. not only will the negative camber hamper the fitment of a 10" wide wheel, but the tires will also wear unevenly. they will wear more on the inside because the wheels are tilted that way. I would suggest a camber kit if you lower your car. however, be aware that ever person i have talked to about camber kits have mentioned that if they are not properly lubricated, they will squeek terribly. I noticed this on mine after i got a wash and wax. The lubricant the company gives you i petroleum based and will wash off more easily if wet. I lubed up my camber kit with a waterproof silicone lubricant and i have had no issues as of yet. I lubed it up about 10 days ago and have had no noise since.

Preme,
I have a Ghostrider Camber kit I'm willing to part with at a fairly low price. It squeaks but salty could help you with that problem.
Salty,
Thanks again for the lubricant I just received it. Should be installing the camber kit soon, I will let you know how it goes.
Edit: Monarch Euro 63RS's are f-ing beautiful

No problem wes. Let me know how it works. I would apply it at night. Let it sit ovenite and apply again the next day. It been 10days and I only applie once and it seems to be working. I really think it has something to do with water taking off the lube. I think this lube shoul be more waterproof but like anything else it's no miricle. You prolly will have to reapply from time to time.

The lip does make a difference. Just because your tire is 9.5 instead of 10 doesn't mean you don't need the camber kit. I have the same set up and I need it.
Darius, are those 18's?

front: 19x8.5 32mm offset 32 - 3mm spacers = 29mm, 225/35/19 Toyo FZ4
rear: 19x9.5 35mm offset, 255/35/19 Bridgestone Potenza RE050
Per my last alignment my rear camber is -1.2 / -1.5, that's before the drop.

dynomite is right. you will still need a camber kit unless you are ok with your rear tires wearing unevenly (on the inside of the tire)

I'm planning on replacing the pads on the rear to #4 (17mm) and hopefully I will not be that much in to negative camber as to require the kit. I only drive ~ 250 miles a month so hopefully the tire wear will not be that bad in my case to justify it.

These rear tires are ~$360 a pop installed. These are run flats which I think is a must when running such large wheels. Don't think I could drive far with the spare on one of the rears.

yeah if you only drive 3-4k miles a year, you probably could get by without it. You would probably be changing tires every 10-12k miles (2-3 years) which to me would not be that big of a deal. I have never been a fan of run flats, if i get a flat i will just get a tow.

yeah im gonna be switching my rims for the winter as well. I actually was just going to live with the camber and take off the kmac until i found a solution to the squeaking problem
