Yo Tony!
How you doin'?!
I have the Kumho's.
Kumho's are very under-rated.
There are very grippy when warm and last a hell of alot longer than the Conti's i used to have.
Kumho's are more hard-wearing.
Alot cheaper too.
I also took the liberty of painting the lettering!
heehee

Hey guys.
Sorry for the late reply - I was at Mercedes-Benz World today.
Met up with other fellow Benz drivers.
Great day. Very hot.
Anyway,
I used tyre paint which comes in the form of a pen.
The one I use is made by Tyreart.
Here's a pic of the pen.
Sorry for the pic. The only one I could find online at hand.
Google "tyreart" and you may well find it.
It's really good.
Lasts very well too.
Then you can just touch them up every so often.
Just make sure you clean the lettering on the tyre really well before colouring them in.
That way, the paint adhere to the rubber alot better.
Also.. take your time over it.
If you take your time, you will get it really neat and tidy.

Not many people can be bothered to do this sort of thing, which means that your car will stand out from the others if you take the time to do it.
Not sure if they do red tyre paint though.
But you may have more luck finding different colours than I did.

Hey guys,
The paint dries to like an egg-shell consistency.
Holds up well.
Though I don't drive my car in the rain....and I don't use water to clean the car, so I can't comment too much on that.
The paint adheres well.
Just make sure you clean the lettering well, so that it is clean and bone dry before application.
Like I mentioned, you can easily "touch up" the lettering when you need to, or remove and start again.
It was about 3mths before I had to touch them up alittle.

Looks great!
That's the stuff. Just take your time over it.
I hear what you're saying about tyre brands.
I have Kumho's which I think are actually a very under-rated tyre.
But some call them "Hedge Finders" LOL
I like them.
Tyre paint certainly gives a more racey look to your car.
As for me cleaning without water..
I only drive the car over the weekends and only if the weather is good.
Since buying the car last May, I must have waxed it about 45-50 times now.
I also use a detailing spray by Finish Kare (their #425 spray). This gives the car a ridiculously slippery finish. Even more so than the Finish Kare wax I use!
I also waxed the wheels 3 times before putting them on the car.
Anyway, after driving the car, there is just a thin layer of brake dust, pollen, all the usual powdery stuff you get.
I use many microfibres to gently wipe down the car down to get all contaminates off the car.
I then go round the car spraying on the #425 and wiping off with other clean microfibres.
Wheels too.
The #425 is a mild cleaner, so it won't remove my wax. But it is a strong enough cleaner to remove light contaminants, like bug guts etc.
#425 is loaded with polymer resins which makes it an extremely good lubricant. This helps remove contaminants without scratching.
You can even use it as a clay lubricant.
So this is basically my cleaning process.
I also run the microfibres into the crack and crevacies of the bodywork, ensuring that I remove all dirt, not just the dirt in the obvious places.
But don't get me wrong, if I ever were to get caught in rain etc and the car has dried-on, lightly bonded on dirt (soil, grass etc), then I would give the car a sponge down with hot water.
I'm just trying to keep water away from the car as much as I can.
I know that my cleaning methods may raise eye-brows, but my car is seriously showroom looking. It is always commented on.
I have employed this cleaning technique since last October maybe, and I have no swirls.
Again, it's just a matter of taking your time.
