LED?

LEDs seem to be the thing to do lately...but I was wondering. Would it be recommended to use LED bulbs in the fog lights, or even the headlights? I have the "cool blue" running light LEDs now and when I have the headlights set to Auto, they flicker once on startup and then stay on with no issues but it throws a malfunction indicator even though their on. But if I start the car, and then turn the lights on there is no warnings or flicker.

These bulbs are bright as hell, but would the LEDs be bright enough to use in the fog lights or headlights if possible? Also what is the number for the bulbs? 9006?

By running lights do your mean city lights? There are a few from eBay that don't flicker. As far as using them on the fogs or headlights, they won't work without modification to the wiring (resistors)

Yea, the city lights. The ones I chose were the ones listed back on a link from a guy on another post that converted his whole car.

So there isn't a plug and play bulb like those LED 194's? Hmm... maybe I'll just use regular bulbs then. Any recommended that give the same color?

Nope, no plug n play LEDs for the fogs. I bought my headlight bulbs and an HID kit from HIDextra and they match pretty good. All bulbs 6000k

lol dude. ive been trying to get LED city lights. but it never works out. never really fit into the housing. i just measured the width of a LED i just bought that would fit. its 9.22mm. i will be measuring the width of the tungsten bulb. im assuming that its smaller in width cuz i dont understand why its not fitting when other members can fit.

I think I bought the one you are talking about one time. You are correct they don't fit, they are too big. You have to get the 194 leds. This is the exact link where I bought mine. The sellers name is Polyled

I don't why the lights come out blue in all the pics. They are actually white. Even my headlights and fogs are 6000k. It just photographs blue. As long as they all match

wats up? the led fog light is awesome.. but u have to add load resistors or capcaitors... THEY look a lot better than HID... CLEAN!!! thats all..
and for the led t10.. try this one.. this should get the job done..they are tiny.. about 9mm...

Hey there. I had the same issue with some new led bulbs i bought. It was to wide. Solution: Sand it down until it fits. Dont be scared to do so, its just a heat resistant plastic material so do it

Btw for fog lights i have lots of experience it. I searched for months and tried everything for my fogs but no luck. Flickering , no output fitment issues bla bla bla.
Get yourself some DDMtuning Slim hid kit and put them on. Literally plug and play and you will love them.

Ask dynomite how he feels abut his HID figs i got the inspiration from his sig

i sanded one down for the first set, it fit but didnt turn on (i switched polarity too) rofl. last time i bought from a company and they were able to refund me, this time i bought from a group buy. so im SOL if it doesnt work. i'll save it to be my last resort. but i also ordered a set that dynomite had. if those done fit, returning those and sanding down the current ones.

Thanks

Speaking of flickering, my HID's from HIDextra.com are flickering. Anyone konw if it's the ballast or the bulb?

Do you have a capacitor? You could switch the bulbs from one side to anoher to narrow down the problem. One of my fogs just went out. Have to buy a new set, thinking of going with ijdmtoy.
