2004 clk 500 cabriolet
Convertible top squeaks and rattles.
I have a 2004 CLK 500 Cabriolet with 80k miles. When i hit a pothole or bump top rattles and squeaks, I have tried silicon lube and WD-40 0n the rubber but it doesn't help. Is there an an adjustment to increase the closing tension? Will this stop rattles and squeaks? Does anyone know a fix? I love the car but the noisy top ruins the ride when the top is up.

CLK have a seal at the top of the windsheild.
That is the seal that MB service always pays attention to when it comes to squeaks.
MB sells a "special" seal lubricate however Die-electric grease has been the standard seal lube for decades.
That could be the squeak.
Rattles is another story...would need to inspect vehicle to isolate where the rattles comes from. Yes there are adjustments, bolts that can be tightened, possible worn items to replace.
