curious how hard you guys drive your benz

wondering how hard you push the benz when you take it out.

i used to have a lead foot. but after a ticket or two, i drive a lot slower now. i dont hit the pedal that hard anymore either. although found an open road yesterday and i just mashed on it. felt so good. lol missed how the engine sounded when its working so hard.

so how hard do you guys push your engine?

I guess I push it whenever I need to, meaning if some punk ricer wants a race, or if i need to get out of a sticky situation, i will push her. Usually, I dont and drive with a lead foot. Usually....lol

See, you need to play more now that you have the stopping power. How do you like those Brembo's?

They are amazing! You barely have to press the brake, their bite is instant. Definitely worth the money. Now I can't wait to do the rears.

i drive it pretty hard, but not redlining it everywhere i go. with the 550, you barely ever get a chance to redline it, except on the highway.

oh i forgot to mention when i used to drive it hard, i started hearing this whining noise as i was getting into the 6k mark. i dont know if you guys had it. the problem went away after awhile.

and then i had to replace the tranny, radiator and hoses. sigh. coolant leaking problem that i never knew about. i wish that was a sticky back when i joined LOL. i felt bad ... real bad. i had extended warranty so i mean it got covered but damn. the SA at the dealer was like wtf did you do to it. lol then i found out its a somewhat common problem

Picked redline 50%, although that's not really accurate. I'll floor it off of red lights to show off sometimes, or if some ricer is trying to show off. Usually drive about 10-15 above the speed limit though.

haha, I have no problems with riceboxes until dumb ricers blow off their turbo valves. that's when the hammer gets dropped. I actually like the Nissan GT-R though, 485hp TT.

Haven't had mine long enough to really open it up. With all the 14 lane highways here that are as flat as a pancake and as straight as an arrow I'm sure I'll have some fun oneday. Summer isn't a good time to drive cars hard here either, it's in the high 40's/low 50's *C and very, very humid. Cooling down now though, it was cool this morning, 34*C.

Yeah, it gets pretty toasty here. I did a lot of growing up in SE Asia so I was pretty much use to the high humidity but only mid 30's. Man, when you get over 45*C (115*F) that's hot, too hot for a Canadian! Summers here usually start in April getting into the 40's then June/July/August high 40's and 50's are common. Winters are really nice though, high 20's to mid 30's from about late November to March. I was on the Iraq/Kuwait boarder last summer and it was 61*C (142*F) in the shade.

Really tough on cars here though, oil cooks and tires get half the milage they would back in Canada/US.

Depends mate. The majority of the Emirates locals are of course very, very well off but in saying that, they only make up about 20% of the population. 80% of the population here are ex-pats and let me tell you, a lot of them make **** poor money. Add on top of that the cost of living here and it ain't easy on a lot of people.

I'm very lucky, I have a great job and work for a very good company but when you factor in the cost of living (rent, utilities (how many of you pay $1,000USD a month for water?), high grocery bills, etc...) the bank account doesn't get padded as quickly as one might think.

That being said, this is the land of super-cars, I've never and will never again see anything like it but something that is very striking here is this;

There is virtually no middle class, for the most part you're either very wealthy or serving the wealthy. Modern day slavery here when it comes to the labourers.
