Have 3000 to spend on upgrades

Looking for some feedback. I have a 07 CLK 550 Cabriolet, and I just sold one of my trucks so I have some extra cash burning a hole in my pocket. llol I wanted to upgrade my headlights to OEM bi Xeon so i am guessing that will eat up about half of that. I am waiting anxiously to see if any come up on ebay, but the only ones are 1800, so going to need to be a little patient with those. Any other suggestions.

I am looking at mostly cosmetic type of upgrades, or upgrades that will not void my warranty.

Currently I have not done any mods at all, stock wheels, etc

thanks

You should post some pics of your car first....Basics are wheels and some lowering springs.

wheels, springs or suspension, exhaust, tune, audio in no particular order.

you can get your bix used if you dont mind. there are a couple right sides floating on ebay. and you buy the left one, new, from a separate purchase

If you get the BIX's separate just make sure you get match them. Facelift head lights are a bit different.

Real Nice Cab! You should decide what route you want to go first. 19"s or 18"s. Comfort drop (Eibach) or aggressive drop (H&R). Maybe look into suspension, but that will set you back a bit. I guess the easiest to do now would be smoke or clear your sidemarkers and some HIDs

thanks, I got the headlights, now I just need to order the replacement bulbs. Thinking 6000k should be right fit for the headlights, 6000k for the city lights. Can I put in 6000k in the fog with a hid kit without doing any other mods?

I would do the side markers, and maybe go with a blueish color bulb to match out with the 6000k? Where is a good place to buy the clears and the bulbs?

I would want to go with 18's, lots of pot holes here in south jersey, I would guess a comfort drop, so the eibach would be enough of a drop for me.....

I do drive pretty aggressively when I drive this car, so maybe I need to rethink the comfort drop...lol

What part of NJ are you in? For the head lights you're going to need D1S bulbs. You could get them and the 6000k hids for the fogs from HIDextra. They are a sponsor here on the forum also. Make sure you get the error cancelers for the fogs so they don't flicker.

You could also change you city lights to match the head lights. I have 6000k on all three. The pic in my sig looks blue because it was taken with my iphone but they are actually white.

The side markers you could pick them up off eBay. The bulbs for them are the same as the city light, 194 wedge.

The Eibachs give you a 1.2" drop all around so it appears even. The H&Rs give you a 1.4" drop front and a 1.3" drop in the rear. The back does look lower than the front though.

I live in Medford, NJ. i spoke with someone from hidextra and man did the confuse me. The told me that they show the high beams being h7, the low being d2s, the fogs being either h-11 or h-7, and no 194 wedge??

I may try and call back again and see if I get someone else who sounds like they know what they are talking about...

post a pic of you HID's. the older style HID's use D2S bulbs and the newer style HID's use the more pricey D1S's bulbs

Yea, I went by sylvania the first time I bought bulbs for the HID's and I still have the set of D2S around the house somewhere. They are actually D1s. The fogs are correct.

The D2S's have the round base and the D1S's have the square base. Check when you get the lights.
