Been then done that and I highly not recommended on an engine without the SC/Turbo mods. Even mine CL 55 with HPS SC mods, I still didn't like the first 10 mins at start up. Too long of a warm up at start up will cause major wear on the piston rings, carbon build up....etc. And on the night when the out side temperature only get down to around 55F, my engine temp never reach above 80 mark and that a problem for long term reliable issue with piston ring and cylinders wall. But I highly recommend you do the 10 degree cooler mods. Another words, the fan turn on 10 degree cooler. You should compare the 2 thermostat warm up time at start up and see how long it take between the 2 .

That is hella expensive for a thermostat, you can get 4 factory replacements for that.

So the fan/cooling system just comes on sooner?
I'm gonna buy a bunch of stock thermostats and figure out what spring these use and switch them out, I'll be rich!!!
$75 each

basically, at the end of the day they're just thermostats.
