Pictures are too big ...reduce the size. Also did the u measure the width ? You gona cut stock hole wider right ? it looks like from the pics those tips are wider than your stock bumper hole.

Hey Clkboi, those tips actually look pretty good and look similar to the stock amg tips. May I ask what tips these are, where I can get them, and how much I can get them for.

I've been wanting to pull the trigger on a quad setup, but I haven't found the tips I like yet.

Haha guess u will be getting this tips for free man. No idea on the brand but i can sure ask tomorrow.
Place is Lou's custom exhaust they had them in stock and since my friend is doing a quad on his c class they will order another pair so i know they can get lots of them.
I paid $100 for both of them.

BTW the way your car looks now with the rims too i think u have to have quads.
And plus u driving a 550 that just should of been stock in this engines

Thanks for the info, see if you can find out what brand and possibly even what model number. I really like those tips, they look almost identical to AMG tips. Most tips out there are more round than oval and these are perfectly oval.

Have you seen the W204 tips, they look AMG.

Those tips are nice but based on the pic, I wouldn't use it because it not the double roll tip like AMG. When the tips is not double roll, too much heat will changed the color. It look really cheap if the tip do change color. I can't really see the inside but it doesn't look like it double rolled.

By double roll do you mean those little holes inside it?

Oh wow, those really do look like AMG tips. I wouldn't be surprised if they were the same tip, minus the amg engraving. Do you know how much these would cost from the dealer? I'd also have to have an exhaust shop custom fab a Y to connect them, too.

$58 x 4 = 232 + shipping

The Y-pipe = $???

Total = ????

why not get the real used one from the E55 if you plan to copy that style ?

I think Carlos paid $500 for his quad. Again the one he bought is brandnew (Authentic) so you might want to do the math first before you order those Non AMG tips.

Thanks for the info, but a little research shows that those "tips" are really just "tips" in the sense that it's just a shell. I'll have to have my exhaust shop custom fabricate y's for both of them and that'll bring the cost up pretty high.

I think I'm going to see how clkboi's exhaust job comes out. I really like the tips that he's picked out and for $100 for two pairs, that's a good deal.

It mean 2 layers. The inner layer absorbed most of the heat.

Hm i see and No i don't think this tips or any in that shop had that layer.

Question: If i find a metal sheet and bent it to that shape could that just do?
Anything i can spray it with in order to avoid this?

?

Muffler shop have machine that can expand/inlarge pipe to many sizes. But then it would look really ugly if you can't centering it evenly inside the tips. I would just buy the C300 tip for $58 and be done with it.

clkboi, i wouldnt worry about the exhaust tips discoloring. dont spend any more money than you have to by buying those $58/tip (over $200 for all 4) and then having to pay for labor to weld them together. it'd be cheaper replacing the tips every year lol!!!

just use the tips you have in the op and get them quad exhaust done!!!! i want to see it!

Exhaust will be done by tomorrow thats for sure. I should have pic before 6pm along with a sound clip...

I am probably just as excited as you are, I have high hopes for those exhaust tips. What exactly are you planning on doing exhaust-wise?
