CLK 550 Cab
Some pics of my new ride...
Hey Guys,
Just picked up an '08 CLK 550 Cab. Thought I would introduce myself and show off some pics. I am new to MB, have had Audi's, BMW's and Lexus in the past. Have to say that I am pretty happy with the new ride so far. Love the looks, probably the best looking car I have ever owned. Love the engine/exhaust, very powerful, love the sound, and the 7-speed transmission is very smooth. And the mileage I am getting isn't as bad as a I thought it would be. I guess the only thing that I haven't gotten used to yet is the amount of body flex/cowl shake the car has. If I go over a railroad track I feel as though the car is going to fall apart. Not sure if there is anything I can do to stiffen it up a bit? Anyways, look forward to using the forum and I have to thank you guys for all of the info I was able to get for making this purchase.

Nice pics! We have similar cars. This was my first Mercedes too, and I agree with all you say. Super powerful, very smooth, surprisingly economical, but flexy over rough roads. Watch for those wheels over pot-holes - already one of my AMG wheels is slightly out of round because of a pot-hole. Wish I'd bought the wheel insurance . . . .
