Is you interior CF trim installed? I think i missed that

It's definitely worth it, the quality is excellent. My interior is currently getting redone in CF, along with a new CF steering wheel and shift knob.

Volume, not a lot at all. Sound, quite a bit difference. Performance, lower.

Having an x-pipe balances out the two exhaust banks and aids in scavenging, the result is a more refined sound (less 'pings') and improved exhaust gas flow.

The number one sound deadening item on all of our systems are the primary cats - removing them makes a freakish difference in volume and tone. Your Maggies out back are refining the sound but not taking much volume away at all.

Hoping it would have been louder?

I see..The more I drive, the better I'm liking the sound. Definitely more refined, like you say.

Have you had a chance to hear the clip? What do you think? This setup must sound like a monster on a V8.

When I get back to Dubai I'll have a listen, the internet here is so damn slow that all sound clips and video end up choppy, very annoying.

Glad to hear that it's sounding better the more you hear it, it'll grow on you. Better to be on the slightly quieter side than louder side - a constant drone gets tired very quickly. Last thing to consider, the sound deadening in our cars is very, very good - I'm sure it sounds like a beast to everyone you pass

I'm sure looking forward to getting mine done, even the factory setup has a really sweet sounding growl to it from the inside.

lol, I came to the same conclusion.

Speaking of sound deadening, what are you going to use when you do your audio work? I have been reading up on this company (http://www.secondskinaudio.com/). They say it's better than dynamat.

Thanks. The place is in Livingston, but they said they aren't doing custom work until the summer. You could always try though.

Hey Dyno,
could you measure the dimatere of the Cf diffuser cut where the exhaust goes for me please.

I am at the point to buy a diffuser and modify it to fit my stock CLK350 bumper.

Thanks

Do you mean the opening? If so I believe it's 10". Give or take an inch.

Yes the opening. My tips are 7.5 so 10 would be fine

Yea, most tips will fit in the opening. It is bigger than you think.

That's the best part about the diffuser, your cuts don't have to be perfect.

That would be cool to see. You would be the first 350 with a CF diffuser.
