2003 Mercedes CLK500
Hmm...I wonder...Just Thoughts

Hey, I have a 2003 CLK500. I am cusious as to what OEM parts can fit within this chassis. Such as different lower gear differentials, if they have posi-trac and what it would take to swap in different engines. I have always been all about modifying cars and doing crazy things. Just wanting to see what all could be done, and dont mention cost! lol.

Engines?
Differential/Driveshafts?
Transmissions?
ETC?

Just by a CLK63 Blackie and swap everything over...

Engine? Check!
Diff/driveshaft? Check!
Trans? Check!
ETC? Check!

Haha...thats not exactly that I was asking. So what other differentials at least would fit into the car? Something with a lower gear set and posi-trac preferred. My boss has thrown different rear ends into old diesels and made them scoot like you've never seen (For an old diesel), but he doesn't know much about the newer cars.

You should ask Dynomite05. I think that exactly what he's trying to do with his Clk 320.

I was just ribbin' ya pal. If you do a search you'll find a thread regarding diff changes. I can't remember who or when it was written but someone claimed they found a new gear set with a lower ratio.

As for the other items, anything is possible if you have the budget. There are a lot of written off cars out there that you could pull a 5.5 and ECU out of it you really wanted to.
