I didnt know you needed to clean your MAF. Doing this tomorrow no questions asked.

Any tips how to get it off easy or you just gotta work on it?

there is a metal clip on the back end...loosen that first
then on the front there are 2 brackets snapped onto this metal piece...use a flat screwdriver and try to pop out both sides....i could not for the life of me figure out how to remove the connector cable to the MAF

thus i flipped the MAF upside down....and squirted the MAF air flow sensor cleaner from the back...i used a cloth on the other end of the MAF housing to prevent spray through....I was too afraid to shoot the cleaner through the metal grid on the front side...i thought some dirt from the grid might stick to the diode...thus i turned it backwards and shot at the diodes directly from the back...

15 squirts...let it compltely dry out for about 20 minutes...then reinstalled

 

hit it from da back.
