KW V2 W/19's

Anyone running KW V2's with 19's? I came across a picture of a CLK with H&R springs and the CLK looks slammed eventhough it's got springs, so i'm wondering if i should even run coilovers if i wanna switch to 19's. I don't care about the performance aspect of a coilover, i really just got it becuase i didn't like the gap that the H&R springs had in the front, but after coming across this thread, i wonder if i would even use the benefits of a coilover with 19's.

Have you ever thought about swap out with the springs from the V6 engine? There's about 100-200 lbs. weight different in the front between the v6 and v8.

Looks like he might of cut a coil or something in the front. My H&Rs weren't that low up front.

It stupid if you just look at it that way in regards to money he spent but sometime you just can't put a prices on happiness and satifaction. Dynomite05's car is probably up side down in the resell value department already with all his mods so far but I know he's very happy and enjoy modding his car. I used to be in the same catagory but learned a big lesson with my CL 55 after installed the aftermarket Supercharger and blew up the engine after the ECU tunes. I bought the car for around $60K and put $35K as down payment. I spent another $20K with all the mods included the SC. I end up sold the car for $27K with the car resell value as $40K (KBB). It took me 6 months to finally sold the car. I owned the car for 1.5 yrs. During the 1.5 yrs, I drove it for about 6 months and the rest of the time it in the shop. Look back, I felt really stupid and that is the main reason I only do cosmetic mods now.

they have someone on the boards with kw's and same rims but black. It looked really nice. He had to use spacers because the coilovers were slashing the inner tire wall but you might not have that issue depending on the offset of whatever set you are buying

The difference is you are talking about putting money into the car for YOUR enjoymnet. That's fine and dandy, I am saying, he won't get that kind of money back out. It's a mute point if the original listing was four years ago.

At the moment you're running the coilovers right??....I'd just keep them, throw on some spacers for the front and drop the front until the desired height. No point in spending more money on pulling ur current suspension to add something else and lose the ability of adjustment....you'll be wasting money...

LOL, if you want you can trade me your KW V2s for my H&R springs...haha
I'm currently riding on 19s....if my springs are installed on your car, the front will be a lot more dumped compared to mine.
Check the Fall Photo thread for current pictures.

All I'm gonna say is........I love my Eibach springs and Bilstein struts/shock. I hated the KW coilover !!!! I went with the KW coilover in the first place thinking that I will get the ride height right on the first time. Boy were I wrong. I got more headache just trying to get the ride height that I want. First, I bought a 5mm spacer because of rubbing. I got vibration from the wheel. Then bought a 10mm spacer so that I can lower the front more and also need longer lugs. Then the tire started to rub a bit when turn over a bump....etc. I thought the coilover would made life easier but what a nightmare !!!

I love my coilovers! They have been great and I have no complaints with my 10mm spacers all around. I wouldn't go backwards and get springs again.
