Isn't Car suppose to give me a warning if I am low on oil?

Yes it will. The only resion I say. Is because the old engine (112,113) had a min and max sensor and on the cars that had dip stix you had to be cairfull to keep the oil level right in the middle to compensate for the oil expanding and contracting with tempiture. On the new engines there is only a low oil warning and it's good to fill them all the way up on the dipstick without having to worry about an over full warning comming on in the cluster.

I also added a quart today after driving for 8k miles. I never added a drop in my old c230, lol. But, from what I am reading it is normal to add oil if you run these engines hard.
