That thing is a PITA. Everything is smooth until you have to put the pedal back in, that's the hardest part.

Nope, sorry. I installed it a few years ago when I first bought the car. There HAS to be some instructions floating around somewhere. It's a pretty straight forward install, they only pain is the pedal.

It's actually really easy...10mm socket needed...

1. Pop off black cap under the pedal to show 10mm bolt

2. Undo bolt and pull pedal off bolt and down to show wiring

3. Fit sprint booster in between connection on wiring

4. Install and tuck wires back

5. Push pedal back into hole and line up with bolt

6. Replace bolt and cap

7. Turn on car and drive with a lead foot

Questions?...let me know...

Hmm...shove wire in deeper?...lol...do you think after ecu reflash it should be taken out and then reinstalled again?...cause wouldn't the ecu think it is part of it?...

Just a thought..

what does the sprintbooster do? wouldn't a tune +sprintbooster make the throttle responce ridiculous?

This is off their website.

" Sprint Booster modifies the signal between the accelerator pedal module and the electronic throttle body. This modified signal forces the throttle body to open 'more' than the stock signal at a given pedal position. In effect, the idle-to-full-throttle pedal travel is reduced. This makes your car 'feel' more powerful because a given pedal input produces greater throttle opening. This is especially evident in the low to mid rpm range where most cars spend their time on the street."

Wes...
I spoke to Harry (Bergen Import)...very helpful and went through the options...so for suspension upgrade most likely it would be bilstein pss9 coilover and place 10mm spacers... though not certain on how much it would affect the "comfort" ride...even if the bils have adjustable suspension....

M-benz...no prob..your insights are helpful....and learning a lot...tooo much options....not enough $$$$....

mod bug getting into me....just need to take the plunge :-) and chaching...

For the suspension, you will also need adjustable camber arms (or Kmacs; I think Wes uses these) in the rear to adjust all the negative camber you rear will have after the drop.

The comfort also depends on the size of the wheels and tires. Do you want the coil overs for their adjustability or to slam the car? What size wheels will you have on? I should get me car back in a week, if you want to meet up and check out the suspension just let me know.

Actually I think it depends on the width of the wheels and tire sizes...i don't think he will need a camber kit if he uses 9.5in wheels in the rear with a 265 tire. His tires will wear faster on the inners, but at least he wont need that ****ty camber arm.

Go with OEtuning. Here is the sprintbooster website.

Not that I know of. I have a speedtuning tune, but I think I might be getting another from Jeremy at OEtuning.

I believe the new SBs go for around $300. You could find a used one in the classifieds pretty easy though. I bought mine used over 2 years ago and it's still working great. Nothing happened to my ECu, it's just that I have done a few mods since my last tune and I would like a custom tune this time.
