What do you think Wes, red calipers on mine? I don't want to through anything in thats going to look like it doesn't fit but I love the look of your red calipers behind the black wheels.

I don't know if you remember when i was debating on which color to go with. I was the first one against red thinking it was cliche. My mechanic was the one who finally convinced me it would look good. Now I can't imagine having painted them any other color. I love the way they stand out against the wheels and flow with the tail lights. Yours might not be a BS, but you get the idea.

Seriously, after seeing that pic, it was that easy. I really like the front CF vents, I've contacted the ebay seller for the C63 CF vent covers and he's sending me a full size outline of the cover. When I get it I'll color it, print it, cut it out and put in on the car to see how it 'might' fit. If it looks half decent I'll open a thread.

Will the C63 vent covers sit flush with our bumper? Isn't it made to slide into the vents? Here's another pic.

The C63 and CLK63 BS covers are a quite different. From a few pictures I've seen it looks like the C63 covers are flush all around with exception of the rear section that slightly sits up in the wheel flare. If the size of them is okay for the car I'll go ahead and buy a set and see if they work, one guys has them cheap, $200USD or so, worth a shot.

Wow...thanks. I think the 209 has such a beautiful sculptured body I think it is important to pick mods carefully that flow well and do not detract from the clean look of the design.

+1, I think it's a much sleeker design than the 208, I could just never get around the front end of that car, I think MB did a great job at refining the lines for the 209. A nice set of wheels really goes a long way when you're lucky enough to have the AMG body kit.

That being said, mine is going to be a little less subtle when I'm finished. I've never done a high contrast car before and wanted to try something different, I absolutely love the look of white CLK63 BS with the carbon accents, thats what I drew ispiration from.

Decals ordered, decided to go with white, I think it'll look far cleaner and crisper than black on a red caliper. After Klihn mentioning that we got the AMG calipers on the 500 and seeing Euro's job, I also decided to get the AMG decals after all. Guess you can teach an old dog new tricks (or at least change his mind)

I wouldn't paint it any other colors beside red. Even Mercedes think red caliper look nices and that's why they offer performance pakages calipers in red.

Agreed. Need to do some shopping around when I get back to Dubai and see if I can find a decent red caliper paint kit locally, otherwise, back to online ordering.

I am looking at doing either red or silver. Luckily my brother has done it on his car and it turned out good so hopefully he'll just do my calipers also lol.

If my CLK was silver and I was keeping the AMG rims on, I would go silver as well - just look at Euro's job, so clean it's not even funny. Everyone is right though, red behind a black wheel is damn sexy.
