Very kind of you mate but I think I'll just see this one through, we've waited long enough! I would imagine (actually know, I have the PM's...)that there are a few guys here that think I'm full of ***** regarding all my mod talk and NO action for the last 6 months or so I don't blame them, lots of internet posers out there.

My clearing agent called me today and said the container is going to be opened and inspected tomorrow, then delivered to my villa on Thursday

It would be awesome to meet your brother just for the sake of meeting him. Where does he transfer in from? All the boys going into Iraq go through Kuwait, most my Canadian friends who served in Afghanistan transfered through the UAE (that's all changed now...).

He's based in Ft. Benning, GA right now. I don't know how they will be getting in there. He said they are going to be living at 9,000ft and "working" at 12,000, lol. He couldn't even tell me where they were going to be in person, so it must be pretty serious. He said they were going to have to cook/kill their own food if they don't want to eat MRE's bc they are so far away from any actual U.S. installment. He got battery powered socks (recommended by the guy he is replacing) for christmas bc it's going to be F'ing cold up there.

It becomes a way of life. I remember working on a report in a hotel room in Sana'a (Yemen) when a huge gun/RPG fight broke out in the street and I actually got mad and muttered "come on guys, I need to concentrate..."

You know you've got issues when!

I've got quite a few stories to tell, Yemen (as above), India (in cities during attacks), Pakistan (same as India, blew up my hotel 6 days after I left), Sudan (worst place I've ever been)... Next time I'm in NY we'll have a beer and nervously laugh about them

What is life without adventure right?

Thought I'd drop a quick update as I haven't been on for a couple days - container cleared Thursday morning (Wednesday night US) and was delivered to my villa. As you can imagine, it's a bloody mess here trying to find places to put stuff after not having it for 5 years and it's all different voltages...

Anyways, 17 boxes of car parts and I haven't opened one yet, trying to keep the wife happy by 'prioratizing'... One thing to rub into Badblack a little though - I got an AMS pulley in hand before you did!

More updates to follw tomorrow afternoon. It's 1am here now and I'm self medicating with a bottle of JD.

Sounds good Kev. Congrats, I know that must be a big weight off your shoulders. And now you have the exciting job of sorting everything out. Sometimes it's better to leave your stuff for last. You will be able to take your time and enjoy opening every box without any nagging.
