So I just received the EC heat exchanger and Johnson IC pump after a bit of a delay. All I am waiting for is the timing cover and engine harness. I bought the cover from a member here on the board and it should be here in the next couple days. The harness has been taking a while but should be here by the beginning of next week.

I had to order 2 new mufflers to fit the new S65 tips that should be here by Friday. I will hopefully be going to the exhaust shop to get that stuff installed on Tuesday, then I will be ready to drop the car off.

Ok, so the swap will be delayed a little bit because I just purchased a C32 transmission, TCU, and rear diff. I got a great price on them, but now have to wait for everything to be delivered.

Which parts? The TCU, Tranny, and rear diff cost me $1700 shipped with about 80k miles on them. Next up is the Quaife LSD.

Looking forward to updates. When do you expect the tranny to arrive , so the work can start?

Yea, I am just about to hit my budget of $10k (including the price of the motor) and I haven't even started install or coding. I would rather do it correctly the first time around though. Hopefully the stuff arrives in the next week or two, then I have to make sure I have the necessary funds to do the install. I know unexpected things will inevitably come up during the install so I want to be prepared for that. I don't want to have the car sitting in the shop because I don't have enough $$ to finish it up.

That makes two of us, my friend. I don't think 5 minutes go by without me thinking about the build. Every week I get closer and closer and I know that I haven't even gotten to the hardest part yet. Hopefully this will all pay off and I could enjoy the only W209 I have seen with an AMG SC.

I know exactly how you feel. If i were you, i wouldn't even be able to work or study. It's hard for me to concentrate on anything, when some new parts are delivered to me. Always can't wait to get everything installed.

Just ordered the rear axle shafts and the driveshaft off the same C32. Hopefully everything comes in together.

This project is giving me heartburn!

Update:

I dropped the car off on 04/25. Since then I have had to purchase a new water pump and some tubing.

Just spoke to the shop. The motor is in the car along with the rear diff/shafts and transmission. Unfortunately I was sent the wrong driveshaft. I called up the company who sold me the parts and the correct driveshaft was still on the donor C32. Got that squared away and we should have it tomorrow. Going to pass by the shop tomorrow morning and take some pics.
