I was shocked at how light they were, but then again, this new one I bought is WAY lighter than the black one I was using before. I had a really great design all sketched out for mine but in the end went very, very simple. I think it turned out better, matches the car nicely, white-black-silver (chrome on black doesn't show up very well).
I'm trying to find a shop in Dubai that sells the inner-helmet headsets so I can hook up my transmitter to it, it'll be nice to have real time updates on my lap times etc.

Well, my wish list for goodies is getting close to being closed out - I wanted to have the car done within a year of driving it, I'm easily going to get there in that time.
I just got back from my vacation in Canada and had my next project sitting here waiting for me. I was told the order would take 2-3 weeks, 11 weeks and just shy of $8K USD later they are here at last!
The front calipers are massive compared to OEM and the rotors, although larger than stock, are a fraction of the weight over the OEM ones. I don't think I'm going to have time to have them installed before I head to NY in August so this is going to have to wait a little longer.

Those 6 piston front calipers are SUPER BEEFY!
Do you know how those calipers compare to the OEM ///AMG CLK55 6 Pot calipers?
Can't wait to see them installed!

Yeah, they are massive compared to the OEM's. I have been told by a few different guys that these are an upgrade over the 6 piston calipers on the newer AMG's but I am not goint to go on the record and say it's fact. I am waiting on an email back to get actual data, when I get it I will have it included on the upcoming Brembo upgrade thread . An underhood 'accessory' away from being damn near finished...

Thanks, yeah they should show pretty weel, hope they stop the car as well!
I actually got an appointment booked to have them installed when I get back to Dubai this Saturday (I'm in Kuwait this week), then I'll have 3 days to do some easy driving and break them in before heading to NY.

Will do. What you really need to do though is find the pic of EuroTra$H posted of his 4 pot brakes painted and decaled (he posted it along with pics of his new wheels IIRC) - they turned out absolutely stunning. It'll give you a better idea of how good they can look. Remember, they are AMG calipers...

Do you know what version of SC you are going to get (Eaton/Current or Autorotor/rarer)?
Did they give you any info on those cams (gains, powerband)?

Your car is going to be nuts. How many HP does your car have at the crank as of now? I can't remember.
With the parts you're buying, will the HP number be in the E55 territory ~500HP?

As for the HP numbers, as with everything else I've been told what to expect but I'm not going to post up hopes and dreams - when it's done I'll post the actual dyne numbers. All I'll say is this, the 'new' number (if actually achievable) will be pretty damn impressive for the 5.0 M113 - time will tell dude.
