[quote=betrezra;5029443]I've got the same camera! Awesome for sports.

See below a couple samples

It has a waterproof case that still catches sound - this is pretty much what we do all summer down in Texas Surf:

What a totally weird illusion. Because the camera is fixed to your helmet, it gives the impression you can jet ski without moving your head!

Lol, exactly eh? I'm going to try and mount the GoPro on my rear quarter window and get a view down the side of the car - it will stay "motionless" and everything around it will be moving like the helmet cam vid.

YouTube is so damn slow in Kuwait I can only get to see the first 11 seconds but that's exactly where I'd like to mount the cam for a few laps. Really surprised at the wind noise though - he must have the open slot door on the casing instead of the sealed one.

Basic design is done for the audio/video system, car goes in on Saturday & should have it back in 2-3 weeks. This is going to look a lot different pretty soon;

You know me, always like to keep quiet until things are finished just in case they don't go exactly as planned. Anyways, I will of course keep you guys posted, even I'm a wee bit excited about this one

A while back I changed out the OEM 194's in the side makers (clear) and high beam housing (marker light) to ANZ Optics 5000K LED's - they were such a perfect white that it made the OEM 4300 HID's look very yellow. I bought a set of HID Extra 5000K bulbs to match but they still seemed a little yellow when compared to the LED's as there are slight color variations between companies and HID/LED lighting. I just got my HID Extra 6000K bulbs and they seem to be a perfect color match, very white (after the initial warm up) and make the car look quite fresh at night.

I have the projector fogs (still need to install them) that I bought with 5000K HID kit so what I will do is install them with the 5000K bulbs and put one 4300K bulb back into the headlights and try to get some pics so all the color differences between 4300/5000/6000 HID and 5000 LED can be seen.

Leaving To drop the car off now to get the AV system install started - pics in about 3 weeks

Black Series strut bars

After a year of going through dozens of ideas and designs, I think I finally have an idea that might work for mounting both the front and rear bars. I'm going to get some part made up at a machine shop and see how it goes. If this doesn't work then I'll just hang them up in my den, nice $1000USD art piece

I feel pretty good about the plan, should find out if the rear bar idea is a go in the next few days after the parts get back from the machine shop. Front bar is the really tricky one.

The first dozen or so ideas I had didnt work in my tests so neither bar has been installed yet. I'm quite positive that I have figured out both bars now (rear for sure) and today the machine shop is working on the pieces for my rear brackets - if these work then I'll go ahead and get the ones for the front bar done.

Tons of work to get these to work man.

The Ghostrider bar fits fine but (I'm not hacking on any fellow members here, this is just MY personal opinion) the way it's mounted isn't ideal. The bar mounts to the shock top threads, not to the chasis where it really should be on the rear end of these cars. I'm sure it does offer support and firms the rear end up without modifying the car but like with most things, it could always be better.

The way the front suspension is designed in the non BS CLK a single mount on the top of the front strut would work because it's all fitted into the strut tower structure and provides a lot of stability.

Again, the Ghostrider rear bar is just fine but the Black Series one is (of course) far superior - that is, if someone is stupid enough to spend the money to buy one, stare at it for a year and then finally get it to fit in the car!

Excellent build Kevwood. Much props! Car looks amazing.

Curious though, have you put it in the rollers post supercharger? Really curious how it performs.

Thanks dude, I appreciate it. Stay tuned, within the next few weeks it's going to look a whole lot better...

When I got the car back it was leaning out at a 4500rpm spike, 13.1, a bad MAS was suspected. After the new one was installed the AFR's were better but still a little lean in the same area, a ECU reset later, all seemed to be better. When it went back on the rollers it was making 370WHP at 5300rpm then the dyno would trip out so we weren't able to get any final numbers on it.

Since then I changed out the plug wires because I found that one was cut right through and another was also destroyed. The tune also needs to be cleaned up a little for the high octanne pump gas here and sea level air. When I get the car back I'm taking it to a custom tuner to have a look at it, roll it, Datta log and see what can be cleaned up.

So, as it sits now, it's pretty safe to assume its making 400whp at 6300rpm. Whatever the number is, it's a blast to drive and is an animal on the track, power, braking and handling all balanced
