Spent a few hours at the shop yesterday doing so work on the car with Dave (shop owner), we've got a few more tricks up our sleeves, might add a day or two to the project but I should have it back by Tuesday 
The next (and last!!!) major project is now all planned out and we will get starting on it in August/September.
So, I went through the audio system and interior with a fine tooth comb since the audio clown has disapeared for weeks now so I guess all the rest of the work is up to me to finish/fix. The interior was put together horribly, black filthy hand prints all over the headliner, ill-fitting console panels, broken vents and a bunch of other stuff. Add to that, the PAC steering wheel interfaces were not completely programed (only the volume buttons works, seek buttons do not) so I have to rip apart the dash to pull them out and finish that job.
Yikes.

(*** side note - big thanks for cory and his s/c for allowing me to keep a pesky ISF at bay this morning..... don't even have to use kick-down.... just a solid part throttle jab was all she took...... )

Hey kevwood, I have been fallowing along with your thread, your cars sick!
I feel you on how frustrating the whole thing with the guy taking way to long to finish your car up. I am in the same boat right now. I dropped my car off 2 months ago to have some body work done and was told it would take a week but it has now been 2 months without to much progress, every day I am told it will be ready the next day. Hope it gets done soon, Cant wait too see it all

When you look up "Bull S**t Excuses" in the dictionary it says; see "Body Shop"
They are generally the worst and l had lots of problems with them back in Canada. Here, the body shop part is the easy bit, massive amounts of work getting done everyday, it's the dissapearing audio clown that's screwed this whole project. I'm supposed to have the car back in my hands this week, then I need to start ripping the audio system apart and get it fixed up/sorted.

Everything is all done (bodywork & paint wise), final polishing and assembly tomorrow, I'll be driving it this weekend

Headlights finally restored correctly (had them done at another shop and after a week they looked like **** again);
Just waiting on some grill clips from Mercedes now (they will be here tomorrow), after that it goes for interior detailing.

Everything went just swimmingly today accept for the hood - the OEM hood grill doesn't fit into to carbon hood flush at all, after lots of grinding and adjusting they've almost got it, a few hours on it tomorrow and it'll be disco.
They are going to try to clean the hell out of the interior tomorrow so I can take it for the weekend for a good shakedown then bring it back in on Sunday to go for the full interior detailing.
