Mercedes CLK 320 W209
Thanks. Personally, I'd like to upgrade to the facelifted LED tails but these don't look to shabby for mow I guess. The car gets quite a bit of attention, you just don't see many white/black combo's like this here. Saying that though, the last time the car was in the exhaust shop the car next to it was a white 2dr Bentley with almost identical add ons in the same places as mine, everything except the blacked out headlights - it was stunning.

Thanks Wes. I decided on the Fox tips rather than the AMG replicas, the AMG tips on the CLK Black Series are 4.5 X 2.5, these are 4.5 X 3.5, I like the slightly larger look myself. To each their own

They look right at home on the car, when I had it parked next to a Black you could see the difference. The MB service manager commented that the Black tips looked too small after seeing the Fox tips. These are just a little more round than the AMG tips, thats all.

The exhaust came out great!
Haven't seen a CF W209 trunk, but I imagine with all the Big Ballers that live out there; custom ordering one wouldn't be a issue.
Hey Kev, I know you plan on sending a application to get a permit for the SC, but if you get it; I would ask Kleemann for if you can get the Twin Screw version on their Supercharger. I know Kleemann USA has one, but I also how much of a hassle it is to import things to you. Just a thought....

As for the s/c, I am waiting for word back on my request, I've got my fingers crossed. There are no Kleemann s/c's stocked here so I have to bring one in and yes - I have to pay the shipping As for the s/c do you have the twin screw design Carlos? I must admit that I didn't know Kleemann offered different types, I thought they were all twin screw.

That Black has a CF trunk lid, hood and roof along with a full custom interior and loads of power mods - it is the Black here in Dubai as per the guys at the track.

I have the "Newer" Eaton version which is not as efficient as the twin screw "older" version (twin screw design has more potential). I was a little bummed that I didn't get the twin screw version, but later I received some incredible luck and I ended up getting the SC for really cheap. I'm really happy with how it came out!

Well I'll be damned, I had no idea they moved to an eaton style considering that the twin design was very highly regarded. I doubt they have any old styles left - interesting info mate.
*edit* may have found an unused twin screw, waiting on a reply.

The problem was the manufacturer of the twin screw design went out of business, so the switch was necessary. At this point, you would have to either get a used unit from somebody OR buy the final remaining Twin Screw kit from Kleemann USA (email Cory about it; sells for about 20% more than the Eaton kit).

Sent Cory an email - thanks a million for the info Carlos! The last time I looked into Kleemann s/c's was back in 2007, I really had no idea they changed. Definately worth trying to get the twin screw design if I can, more efficient and more power, nice combination.

Thanks pal, yes, I'll make a little video and link it when I do my exhaust thread.
Thanks Andy. The tips are from Fox Exhaust (Germany), I decided to go with them over the AMG tips because they have a beefier look to them.

I also started the long journey to install the Black Series rear strut bar a few nights ago...

Don't hold your breath, it's going to be a while mate.
It's really tough to get anything done because I travel all week, every week and only home for the weekends. In Dubai, all labour/service shops are closed on Friday so that only leaves Saturday to get anything done (weekends here are Fri/Sat). I'm going to cut the bar this weekend and make up the bracket templates out of construction paper, then take them to the shop and have them made of steel - then back to see if they fit. I would imagine that the rear bar will be a month to finish, probably the same for the front.
If I was back in Canada with my shop, both would be done in one weekend, two max. I imagine that my steering wheel will be shipping soon too so I'll have the shift paddle project to start as well.

2 sets of resistors, got it, thx. Now that the exterior mods are pretty much all done, the stock tails look awful old, these will update it a bit - everyone elses look fantastic!
