Everything came out awesome! So you used vinyl on the trim and plasti-dip on the badges?

That's correct...spray on plasti-dip and gloss black vinyl which is the same one I also used for my grille...

I'm really happy/ surprised how well it all came out...I know you were once considering doing your chrome trim and I'm glad I did because it really helps flow with the wheels/ tinted lights...

Npz...I've been looking at the LED ones, but I'll wait until Wes gets it done and can give me some pointers...I've read Carlos' (2MCHCAR) thread about his so it'll be an upcoming mod...appreciate the suggestion!

Bbrain...doing the roof is a HUGE step for me...I just don't know if it would look good or not...maybe photoshop first?....lol...

Light color car with black wheels, the black roof is a must. As a matter of fact, having a light colored car with black wheels and without a black roof is a criminal act in 49 states...

I am actually one of the rare ones that painted his roof. Everyone is doing the vinyl. Mind sharing where you bought the vinyl you did your trim with? Is it glossy or flat?

Wow...painted...see that's a big leap...lol...

Well since vinyl is reversible why not try it?...lol...I'll probably try to photoshop it first...

As for the black vinyl it is a gloss finish, but the same seller has a flat too...I also bought all my vinyl tint which I used on all my lights from this seller...

Here's the link...I bought a total of 3 which covered all my trim and grille...it also left me some just in case I want/ need to re-do it...

Awesome, thanks. Once you photoshop it, you will want to do it right away. One more question. When you did the long trim around the windows, did you use one continuous piece or did you have to put a couple together?

It's one long piece...this stuff is very stretchy especially when heated (well it was hot out when I did it here)...just make sure you buy more than one cause when you change the quantity it changes the length of the sheet...extremely user friendly...

Awesome man!...what do you have in mind to do with it?

Also, what type of tint do you have over your side view marker?...is it VHT or a tint?...I'm thinking about getting a "blacker" tint that still doesn't stunt light output like my current vinyl tint does...

I will be redoing my window trim and I will probably do the trim around the car to see how it looks. I used VHT on my mirror turn signals. It's nice because you could go as light or dark as you want.

See I like having things reversible just in case I get bored...lol...

Literally, not that any of you ever should, someone could walk up to my car, pull off all my vinyl tint, pull off my vinyl on my grille and trim, and pull off the plasti-dip on my badges...then my car will be pretty much stock again...lol!...

I think your trim would look great black with your whole theme...especially with the forgestars...I know you had a thread about it before and people didn't like it, but with the look you have now it'll flow well I feel...

See how it looks and let us know!

I will definitely report back. I spent the whole day yesterday moving into a new garage with more space so I could finally get some work done without having to pull the car out. Mother nature sure is hitting us hard here this winter. I struggle with the thought of packing up and leaving to FL every winter. lol

lol, I think we have had over 3ft of snow since Christmas. It feels like every week we have a huge snow storm of at least 4". I wouldn't mind the snow if it was for the aftermath. IMO that's the worst part. Don't even get me started on the craters the salt and plows cause. When I do pull my car out, driving will be like an obstacle course.

Here's what is on the menu...

Going for a dual exhaust set up (resonator already deleted)...I'm going to be deleting my secondary cats, then run piping from my primary cats to two cherry bomb glasspacks, then to two stock CLK 500 tips...

Keep the stock look, but have a non-stock sound...(how it should've been from the factory)

I may possibly paint the tips black in the future...don't know yet...

Also, just vinyl wrapped my middle part of my bumper and surprisingly it really does make a big difference...

Oh and HUGE shout out to Andy for always coming through and just being the man!!

Sorry for the crappy pics...will have real pictures up soon enough...after a good wash and that HOT Vegas sun!!!

Looks good. Mind sharing the steps to putting on the vinyl on the bumper. Did you cut it on the bumper or off?
