Question of 200 kompressor

I would like to know to the real HP of 200 kompressor engine. Mercedes officially says 163 but I believe that it renders more. I am thinking about buying a clk 200 kompressor. Any advice or commentary is welcome.

Thanks and greetings from Spain!

With some power kit (base is eprom, pulley, strap) you may arrive to 190-195hp..

I'm thinking of purchasing a CLK200K if MB Aus decided to release it here, so what do you think of the car?? is the power delivery good?? how bout the engine sounds, is it noisy or smooth??163hp is not bad considering the CLK240 has only slighly more power.

If you don't care that much about the quieter & smoother V6
200K is actually the best buy of I4 family.
ppl here like to upgrade the pulley & enjoy the 190+ hp
which 2.6 V6 is no easy way to catchup.

I am told that a good buy is the CLK 270 CDI which packs a lot of puch when coupled with a auto box.
Cheers,

i drive a 200K - there was more power than I expected. I am very happy with the performance. But I have not driven any other models to make a comparisson. You would not think you were driven a 4 cylinder, it feels like a 6.

The 2.0 kompressor I refer to where CLK200K is 1.8 kompressor.

I guess you're saying spring ?
W209/CLK & W203/C are interchangeable on spring & shocks.

Since the pulley upgrade is very popular of 2.0/2.3 (even 1.8)
kompressor motors
I'd like to introduce it a little
(1) Brabus,Carlsson,Kleemann... a few famous tuners,go check their website & ask about the product information
then mail order it or buy it from agent shops.
(2) Evosport ....etc in the US

I believe it can be done by any tuner shop dealing with Mercedes.
