Wes, Beztera, and Kev are the real W209 heroes. I'm following Kev and Beztera's builds for their engine and track mods (I'm currently deciding on what cams to get {PTE/New Kleemanns}); and following Wes's build to see how much HP his one of a kind CLK32 ///AMG is putting down.
I wish I would have! I want to get this done so bad now, ever since I raced my buddy in his LS1 swapped 3rd Gen. Camaro.

My car was behind the MBJunkies tents. It was a great event though, I can't wait for the next one!
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

1. Be careful tapping the water pump for the idler pulley. My installer broke my water pump, and then continued the install which threw the idler alignment off which threw belts.
2. Be careful when manipulating and moving vac lines around..... they can break if bent too far, and are costly to replace from stealership.
3. Be careful when working around the gas tank... if you break any of the fuel pump/sender seals on the gas tank for the reg mods..... it's tricky to get the seal right... MB rec using a new o-ring rather than re-using the old one. Mine leaked bad, and had to be replaced.
4. Don't run the car hard until you have it tuned, or if you have the mailed-tune installed, I would have it checked on a local dyno with wideband sensor setup...... before stomping on it to be sure all AFR's are good..... don't to blow a HG, or hurt a piston. These things are not small block fords or chevy's..... and rework is expensive.
The end result will deliver big grins....... I smile everytime I fire this thing up for my 30 mile trip to work. This much fun should not be legal.
My combo is just about 5K miles, no hickups, except a vac line came off the valve cover which threw a l/r bank lean code.... reattached the vac line with zip ties, and no more codes or issues. One small issue..... rear tires are now bald :

And here is a teaser pic of my next round of mods

Ha, Ha! Nah, Kev is the one with the real BEAST!

I'm dropping off my car tomorrow to get the rest of the stuff installed, I plan on creating a new thread with the results!
Those are 300 Cell Metallic Random Technology Cats.

Random Technologies is actually local to me, so I was thinking about using their cats anyway! 2.5" diameter, right?
What brand of dyno was your's done on? My car put down 365hp and 399tq on a Dynojet.
