P0715 Code - Transmission Conductor Plate Issues
So after researching many threads, I figured I needed a new conductor plate when I was getting the P0715 code (Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction). I got done installing this last night and the car seems to be having the issues. I can shift out of park, but the transmission is not engaging. Disconnected the battery for a bit to reset the codes and when it came back on after letting the engine idle for a bit, the P0715 came back on.
Could one of the sensors really be bad and not the conductor plate? Seemed to me that the plate usually solved this error. Any ideas on what to do next?

You probably did not line up the shift mechanism with the shifter. There is a little clip that moves back and forth into the valvebody it's yellow/white and made of plastic. You can see it in the pic 23 at the left. http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w140...tor-plate.html
I removed the curved metal piece so it's easier to lign up the mechanism. Beware of the dowel that comes with it as you pull it out.

That was all good, had the computer reset and all was well. Ten miles of driving and the original symptoms came back followed by the CEL. I checked with my indie and he thinks its the torque converter because of some other codes thrown (some slippage code etc). Says to rebuild the tranny and it will be 4k.
