Hissing air noise when A/C is on.

Like title says, when my A/C is on at lower speeds or turning my steering wheels, I hear this strange noise from either engine bay or dash board. I am hearing this noise when I am operating the car.
Anyone had similar experience? What could gone bad? Is it A/C compressor going bad? Service from dealer says they don' hear anything and can't seem to find out what is wrong...

and no it's not hissing air noise from the vent.

when your freon is starting to get low, the expansion valve to the ac starts hissing. If it is continuous and gets worse, you'll need to add a can of freon.

So, I can just ask dealer to add more freon?

So Dealer confirmed the noise and they refill almost 2lbs of freon and found the leak and they said it's fixed.
As I am pulling out of the dealer, guess what?... Hissing noise was still there!!! OMFG
This drives me nuts. Could there be something else went wrong?
Dealer keep saying everything is fine but obviously something is not right..
Anyone with similar experience?

I would pass by an Indie who works on MBs to see what they say.

Not just any indie, preferably a reputable MB one. They are usually more knowledgeable and less expensive.

I noticed that mine is hissing and it isn't blowing as cold. Is there a way to do a quick visual check on your refrigerant level? And, is filling it up an easy DIY, like it was in the days before non-freon a/c?

Just to close this out, my system did need a recharge - and now the system works well again. They filled the system, checked for codes, etc. I used the $50 service coupon (thanks guys) and was out the door for $170, and they fixed a noisy window (light scraping sound) that was done under warranty. Keep in mind (those of you with warranties) that while the dealer charges for the refrigerant and refilling the system, if there were any leaks, broken components, etc. - those issues would be covered under the warranty.

Thanks again to whoever it was that posted the service coupon!
