Front Headrests from W211 for W209 ??
Anyone know if I can put headrests from E/W211 in my CLK/W209 ?
Particularly interested in the front ones. Apparently the years 2003, 2004 & 2005 were a little different than the other years (regarding the W211 that is).
I like these in this link, was hoping they might fit in my CLK, anyone know?

Thanks...you are Dyno-mite !
Ok so you are saying in fact the W211 has the same bar spacing as the W203 and W209 and could be changed out. is that right?
thanks...you're a knowledgeable soul.

Hey Dyno....one more question please...
another person posted this:
yeah there are screws on the back of the seat and that whole panel slides off and then you have access to the headrest motors....there is a clip and they just slid up! good luck
is that what is involved if i changed the headrest out on the front seats? they don't just come out easier than that?

No, they won't fit. Only the W203 and W209 are interchangeable.

That I'm not sure about. I have heard it's a PITA.

so do you know if it would be just a matter of the spacing between the headrest bars in order to fit into the holes on top the seat?
or is there more to that and the bar may be longer or shorter inside or the rivets are different or something else inside the seat?
thanks.

PITA= Pain in the a$$. I honestly can't tell you if it's the space between the bars or the inter fittings that will prevent it from working. I have never really researched it. I don't have access to the WIS anymore so I can't check the install instructions. Sorry.
