I guess I'll log on and do it tomorrow to make sure I get a spot. I think I'll also go out tomorrow and buy a HD video camera for this event. Then when I get back I'll put it in my car for track days/nights.

You will have much fun in any of the 63's. Even the E & C-Class estates as they are easier to drift on the wet skid circle.

As for burnouts.. haha, depends which instructor you have in the passenger seat. I was lucky enough to get a lad my age who pretty much let me get on with it.

Not sure if they'll allow burnouts as such though. We'll see.

Ok, we can aim to meet at Brooklands for around midday. I may get there alittle earlier as the roads will be quieter the earlier it is.

It'll also give me a chance to remove any bugs from my 63 that I slaughter on the way there. LOL!

Man, I hope the weather is ok as I don't drive the car in the rain. I'm looking forward to showing you my 63.

I'll make sure I take my camera to get some pics of you both when we're there.

Im planning on being at Mercedes world all day on sunday
I'll give you a call on sunday. I'm meeting up with Kev for dinner on Wednesday the same week so we can plan the trip more in details

You book your hotel yet Mikey? There are a few hotels at/around Heathrow with some great prices.

There is an aviation museum as part of the complex! This keeps getting better and better.

heehee.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to kicking back and watching the Canadian F1 race too.

I've asked a friend of mine, Lee, to come along.
He's a good lad, about 28. He has an R34 Skyline. Very nice. (see attached)

He's looking forward to meeting you both.

Ok, call me when you like when you arrive in the UK.

The R34 is still my all-time favorite import, I'd take it over the R35 anyday. Perfect color too.

lol!

Yeah, actually my friend Lee wants to check that out too.
It's round the corner from Brooklands.

I don't think it's a very big museum but I'm sure you'll like it.

Hahaha.... you'll get on very well with Lee by the sounds of it.

He loves the 34 - like you, more than the 35.

In fact, he says there are guys over here who are parting with their 35's to get a 34 again.

Bayside blue is one of the best colours.

'OCD details man' mate. One of the reasons why my build is taking so long. I get something done then say, nope, it could be better. Although my underhood detail was more than acceptable on the first pass, might have had something to do with the 115*F weather... Anyways, I remember having a chuckle when I read your post about cleaning your exhaust tips a while back, I thought "oh boy, another one..."

I leave to head back to the UAE on the morning of the 14th, I decided to stay an extra day and just chill in London.

So, PM me your email addy and we'll exchange phone numbers.

PS: Working on some hook up's at the museum, might know someone who works there.
Kev, you're checking in the 11th and checking out the 14th right?
Just checking cause the check-outs are at 11:00 and my plane leaves at 6.50.

Yeah 06.50am. That's 3 nights at the hotel. I'm just checking since it said check-out at 11.00. That's too late for me. Can I check out earlier or?

Oh course mate, checkout time is the latest you can leave without being charged for extra time - you can checkout as early as you want. The Hilton let's me checkout at 4pm which is great for days that I have late flights.
