Someone broke into my CLK only to steal the car manual

Modern MBZ's are practically impossible to hot wire. There are devices that a thief could use to override the Drive Authorization System, but it's very complicated and expensive (i.e. more expensive than the value of a stolen car). Like others have said, the most likely way to get your car stolen is to have an inside guy at a dealership order a key. The problem with that is if the car is ever recovered, it would be very easy for a dealership to see which key was used to last start the car, then trace it back to the employee who authorized ordering it. And of course there's the thieves who will tow it away and then strip it for parts, and there's not much defense against that.
