05 CLK 500 without Command Console?

05 CLK 500
05 CLK 500 without Command Console?
Recently purchased an 05 CLK. My console looks very similar to this one

I've recently been keeping track of the threads about dynavin head unit replacements, and did some research on ebay, and elsewhere to find things like

Says it fits the W209, but only 04-06 post-facelift models, and the other fits the W209 00-04 pre-facelift. My question is, without the COMAND unit, will I be missing features from this? From my understanding it's supposed to be a plug and play type deal, but i'm assuming I'm going to need an antenna and possibly other things to connect bluetooth/satellite radio/iPod, etc. Or does it matter?
How similar are the insides of my 209 compared to the same year with a comand console? Sorry for the long first post, and thanks for any help you guys can give me.

first of all. pre facelift is 03-05, post is 06-09.
second. pre uses ISO connectors (i think), and post uses fakra connectors.
third. there is a dynavin thread which you should be posting on for questions cuz the guys on there are working on that for their cars
lastly, i would suggest go aftermarket. you get all the features you want lol

Thanks a million for the quick answers. I guess my problem with aftermarket would be filling the huge hole that taking the OEM stereo out would leave. I'm thinking i'd need something like

no worries. i was in your position about a year and half ago before i did my audio. and man, without this forum, id probably have to go to a professional. lol
but yes you would need that. i have a pic of mine that i installed on here somewhere. a couple of guys have pics up too. just look up 2mchar radio install or im sure mine is up here somewhere lol

you are wrong, post facelift in the interior for the dash is 05-09. He posted a pic, you cant clearly see that its different from yours? To the original poster, if you want the oem command you can buy a used one off ebay and it will work. I would still rather an aftermarket uniit with a nicer looking navigation, a built in mp3 hard drive and ipod input

i stand corrected. now that i think about it, i was thinking about body style. he was referring the the audio in the car.
i can tell its different from mine since i have the pre facelift. lol i just wikipedia-ed the change between our cars. and he wanted to go with aftermarket (dynavin) navi. i was merely pointing him in an aftermarket (pioneer, kenwood, etc) direction since he will be spending similar amounts of money anyway.
