Exclamation Cruise Control acting up!

It gets really annoying, the cruise problem is it will work fine at lower speeds or up hills, but if there is the slightest decent on a highway especially at higher speeds it cuts the cruise control off (the lights blink, the ones around the speedo)
its works perfectly fine going 50mph even 60
but with 80 it gets extremely nervous, only working if its going up a hill or accelerating...

Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions would be really helpful!

Exactly what lights blink? I never had a problem like that, only once when I was going like 50 and I accelerated on the cruise control to about 75ish and set it it cut off the cruise control and acted up. I just pulled over and turned the car off and then on and it was fine.

sorry, didnt quite get that right, the "bars" that signal the cruise is set (they make a ring around the information display) what blinks are the little three dashes that would normally show the speed at which the cruise is set... its as if you had tried to set the cruise at too low of a speed, it looks exactly the same
