CLK-Class (W209) 2003 on: CLK 270 CDI, CLK 200K, CLK 200 CGI, CLK 240, CLK 320, CLK 350, CLK 500, CLK 550 [Coupes & Cabriolets]

Can someone tell me what's going on here?

06 CLK350 -SOLD! 2010 Cadillac SRX Premium Turbo
It's actually a nut in the middle of that under the plastic cap. There is also the strut rod end that has a star allen head which is what he tightened down while holding the strut nut in place. Yes he just re-tightened.

Thanks for sharing, Im gona try to tighten mine. It looks like yours did in the pic on one side.
Did it cause any shimy/vibration on freeway speeds?

No none of that. Just some minor clanking over bumps and what not.
