Consideration about american mercedes...
I know it sounds strange, but that's what I've been noticing
What do you think? I'm not talking about the side markers etc that IMO look terrible, but about the similar parts. Industrial production of course is supposed to be standard, but... I think these differences exist

Yes, here we have smaller engines avaliable, and lots of diesel engines; but you have to consider that here a well equiped CLK 320 CDI was about 90-100 000 dollars (it is more expensive in euros than you have an equivalent in dollars) and gas is about 8-9$ per gallon. That's because here the tax burden is much higher and there are very few oil resources excepting the north sea. If you consider too that a cheap-old-small house in a cost city costs 400+ k $, easily twice or more as expensive than in the USA, you can imagine why here people use small engines. Now add that a senior engineer, with maybe 7 years of experience, speaking 4 languages and having studied in several countries earns 80 000 $ per year as a lot, and consider that here people end the superior education maybe with 27 years old. Most of the biggest European fortunes, for example, have not changed their owners (families) for centuries. Its completely different from the USA
That's why I want to go to the USA. With the money I need here to buy a full E350 coupe, there I can buy a 2006 lambo gallardo. With the money I need here to buy a normal-good house here I can buy a much much better Miami house there.
But, I wasn't talking about that...
