active head restraints! who knew?
Just got rear-ended, and found out the hard way that the 209 has "active head restraints"

Felt like a hard slap in the back of the head when an old Honda Accord slammed into me, but I guess that's better than whiplash! The only visible damage is the impression of his license plate screwheads in my rear bumper!
Wouldn't you know, I've owned 5 Mercedes, and this one doesn't seem to have the bent rod tool that's needed to reset them in the glovebox. Hopefully when my wife gets home there's one in the E350. Tried an awl and a coathanger to no avail.

Morning after and no neck (or head) pain, so the headrests work as intended! The reset tool is missing from my E Class too, so I'm still seeking an alternative tool. THIS THREAD from the E forum recommends 6mm hex wrench, so I guess I'll start there.
