New Member with first Mercedes (CLK 550)
Hi whats up everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself to the rest of the clk world.Hoping to learn a lot from you guys and hopefully contribute something to the forums. Here are some pics of my new to me baby.

If you put some Mother's Back to Black on that plastic insert on your rear bumper it will make it a nice deep black instead of the gray it looks like now. Just did mine yesterday. Because that piece has a pebble grain to it you sort of need to glop it on and then wipe it off, but it looks good and ought to look even better on a black car.

If u plan on driving the car hard and doing rallies and stuff. GET a clear bra asap, i learned this the hard way, my front end is destroyed. Also those stock rims look good in black, get them painted if u want

I was a little unsure about painting the stock rims. But after seeing those pics i think i might go that route for this summer.

I want to say .2-.3 sec less in 1/4 mile than a stock clk55. There used to be a guy running around here in a clk550 that ran his and got some impressive stock or near stock times.
Anyway..... no need to get into an internet bench race..... find a local clk550 and race him at the track and let us know how it goes. Diff Day diff race could be diff results.
My point is those stock clk550's are pretty damn fast. Better heads than our clk55's is what I've been told.
