Interior 'dome' light intermittent
I have a 2005 clk500 with the following issues
1. The dome light only comes on sometimes when door opened/when key taken out of ignition. The switch is in the correct position so don't know what is causing this
2. I can't open the top part of the centre arm rest (it seems to be locked but key will not open it)

Sorry if I was not clear, what I mean is the light does not always go on when key removed (as it should) or when remote key unlocks doors. The switch is in the correct position.

I would check the fuse for the dorm light or check the bulb for the dorm light (might be burning out or may not be OEM bulbs). I know my aftermarket dorm lights don't always turn on either.
