Xenon d2s replacement

hi all, I did a search but just wanted to confirm before I damage anything. I can barely see what I'm doing, let enough get my hand in there. After i twist off the power harness - it sounds like there's a metal clip holding the bulb in place. So does that clip:

a. slide off to the side
b. does the bulb then pull right off?

thanks.

Honestly, I'm not even sure anymore. I think facelift is D1S and pre-facelift is D2S. Take a look at the base of your bulb. If the base is square you have D1S, if it's round it's D2S. I have a set of D2S 6000k lying around if you need them.

wait so if i want to change my high beam bulb in the 2005 clk i have to use ds2 bulbs? sylvania bulb guide says use H7 because i want replace the yellow high beam with sylvania ultras for the white look without HIDs and ballasts.

No. Your highbeam is H7.

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of getting these bulbs from HIDextra and I see few of you did that already.

So, what do you think about them?
How long did you have them?
Any issues with the projectors or the ballasts?
Basically are they safe to use in our cars or they will damage something else way more expensive?

I don't want to save a little on the bulb price to end up paying so much more to replace the ballasts or anything else ...

Please let me know, thanks!!

i agree 8000K is a little too blue (what I have ) and very dim especially if you smoke out the lens housing
