Inner wheel-well liner? What offset are the wheels? Must be 40's or something?

My Sonic 281's with ET35 dont have an issue on the rear, with 10mm spacers (and lowered on H&R) I got outer fender-liner rub, with 5mm a very small touch once and a while, with no spacers I don't remember any issues other than they looked like *** jammed in so far.
My factory AMG wheels were 30/35 IIRC and they fit and looked pretty damn good. I'd be tempted to measure out your rears and see if they actually are ET35.
Do me a favor will you? Take a picture of the front wheel showing how much clearance there is between the brake caliper and spoke. I was told my 281's would fit with no problem but they didn't at all, I had to use 10mm spacers to clear the STOCK caliper... Most dissapointing.

Thanks for the info.
Now here is a potential problem you're about to face, 5mm spacers are not hub centric so you are going to have vibration issues. I have a set of 5mm on my rears right now for some measurement testing and the car vibrates like hell. 10mm spacers are hub centric but with a ET32 wheel it takes it to ET22, it's most likely going to stick out a little farther than flush.
Looking forward to your results, I do hope everything works out fine in the end.

Thats strange as i currently have 19x9.5 with a +35 offset with a 265/30/19 with absolutely no rubbing at all even with a full load.. my tyres are acchiles atr sport... unless some 265/30/19 tyres are slightly bigger amongst the different brands..

Precisely why I question if the wheels that gstar have are actually ET35... I have come to learn from personal experience that specs given on wheels are not always accurate. My original AMG 19's were ET35 rear and I had no problems.

I've got a pic somewhere of when I had the 10mm spacer with my Sonic ET35 rears but I had the camber set at almost -3* for a track setup so they look like they are set in a bit. However, when the camber was set to OEM spec range they looked really nice and flush - but they rubbed with the drop...

Does anyone know if switching from a 19x9.5 rim with a 265/30/19 to a 20x9.5 with a 255/30/20 will make a big difference? As in ride quality wise or does that come down mainly to the shocks

Well, it's less than 1% difference in overall size and the sidewall will only be .1" lower so in theory, it really shouldnt be much of a difference tire wise. However, the wheel itself will be bigger/heavier so that will come onto play somewhat.

How about a 20x10 I mean I was thinking the other day it's only 1.25 cm wider which really is peanuts.. I know for a 20x10 the tyre size should be a 255/30/20 but it's the offset that matters as they say and I've been looking around and there was someone here with a +32 offset and it fitted without problems and the car was also lowered. But then I've also heard that a +42 offset should be used for the rear..
My current set up is 19x9.5 with a +35 offset on the rear with a 265/30/19 tyre and it's still got room near the guards however behind the wheel I can fit maybe a finger and a half between the back of the wheel and the inner lining of the car... Can anyone give me some suggestions? Btw these wheels are the euro 63 rs wheels with the nice lip

This is giving me a headache... Spacers cAme in I got about 2mm clearance from the front caliper.. And I'm getting clicking noises from the rear.. Too long of a bolt for the rear use shorter ones ?

I heard that the clicking noise is from using too long of a bolt. use shorter ones i believe. and N.Pirrone VSEXY I believe that by using a 20inch rim will make the ride unbearable especially if your lowered. you will have to be very very careful driving or else your tires might pop or your rims might bend. just my opinion. I know people have done 20" rims before but unless the roads are smooth i wouldnt but its your car if you do it more power to you haha

That's ok I appreciate the advice what if I had got my suspension done would that make any difference... As in getting some better shocks as I still have my factory set up..
