goodbye SL welcome AMG package for clk!!

well guys, I sold my SL 500 with a broken heart!!! I had lots of mermories in this car.... but began to be expensive to repair!!! I uploaded this pic as the last one taken.

Now with the money I made I am thinking of buying the AMG package o the clk550 as it's more aggressive than the 2005 clk55 amg.
I didn't find in the thread for the spare parts number, the front bumper and side skirts spare parts number for the facelifted AMG package 2007-2009.

need your help guys!!! thanks

Black series and Lebanon doesn't work together man for 2 reasons:
1- it's hard to find aftermarket kits and the dealership charges a leg for it
2- there's a lot of stupid drivers that will hit the car a scratch it and all that BS

so a non-black series kit is the way to go

Personally I would rather have the 550 over the 55 if you aren't going to be pouring tons of cash into it for performance. The 550 on it's own is a beast and with some Kleemann headers, pulley, filters and tune it's into the 400HP range. It also has all the updated styling and the 7sp trans. If it's a power build, grab the 55 and Kleemannize it, that was my plan but I couldn't find a 55 here in anywhere near respectable condition so went with the 500 ( it'll still be plenty fast enough for me when it's done).

Good luck!

I'm a pretty conservative guy but I'll be getting some footage from the track I imagine. If I'm sideways there something's wrong with the nut between the steering wheel and drivers seat...

Anyways, back to your thread! I say go 550/facelift kit and do the quad conversion.

Come on kev, all I want to see is a video and here's what you're going to do :
Hit the ESP off button and hit the gas pedal and watch the car go sideways

For you my friend, I might just do that I'm adding an LSD to it shortly after the Kleemann kit so hopefully it'll have tos of tradition and going sideways with be difficult to do. Anyways, I'm am beaming with joy right now as I type this : I'm leaving the house now to go drop the car off, they start work on it today...

Micho... Don't go to the dealership unless you're willing to give them one of your arms
I went once and asked them about the rear trunk spoiler and the guy told me it costs $450 and I was like "it doesn't even look good on the car "

Kev no lsd just turn it to dyno mode and it'll be just fine...lol

Now more seriously i've been lookin everywhere these couple of days and i found what i was lookin for!!!!!! I found a complete 550 package but the question is : is there any difference between pre and post face lifting for the rear bumper???
Also as you said KEV im goin for the quads too!!! So bought the package and told the guy to send them on monday to the paint shop and to cut the rear bumper on the other side for the quads!!!! The front bumper has no side markers ans has sensors !!! Its a german bumper and not US specs.

It's just the front bumper that is different.

+1. The facelift front is much nicer/angular than the pre-lift/55 AMG front end.

Mine doesn't touch the bumper anywhere, good clearance on both sides. The best advice anyone can give you is to have your work done at a reputable shop that does custom work, they generally know what they are doing and do it right the first time.

Good luck!

I'm not using MB/AMG tips, I went with a beefier Fox tip. If you look at the last post I made in my Mountain of Goodies thread there is a pic of the rear of my car showing the tips. If you like them I van get you the Fox part number, if you want the AMG tips they have reps on eBay all the time of watch the classifieds for originals.
