clk questions

hello
I want top buy a clk and I some quick questions
if I buy a car without navi can the navigation be installed quickly , do I need something else except the screen?
do the expensive parts break down? like the power steering or the ABS/ESP
I want a clk 200 or 240 petrol from 2004-2007 , are the engine reliable?
If I buy a prefacelift car is the facelift hard to install?
which rims fit the car , and from what other MB car?
do the automatic gearboxes are good ? do they need maintenance ?
the amg kit is cheap or easy to find and what it contains except the bumpers
thanks

First thing you will be hearing from other members of this forum is using the "Search" feature so that you can answer different questions u got in mind.

Do add at least where you're from so that people from the forum in case from the same country can enlighten you with their experience.

but ill give u brief answers quick.
1) NAVI can be installed by someone whose an expert.(Or go for a DIY somewhere on the forum). You do need the Command 2.0 (that is what it is called, and all the wiring harness to plug it into your console).

2)Expensive parts don't break that easy unless ur being tough on the car. You take car of your car, it would take care of u in return.

3)I have a 240 CLK 2003, and it has one great engine. they are very reliable. 200 are Kompressor engines i never had that but i guess they are as reliant as the 240.

4)Facelifting your 2003/4 can be done. you just need the parts.

5) concerning the rims, tons of threads are found here, you can have the OEM fit starting 16" and go up to 19". take a look at the sticky thread about the car pictures you have tons of OEN & aftermarket and sizes for all sorts of rims.

6)The tiptronic transmission is great. dont drive it like you are driving an F1 car, you need to change the trans oil .. all of that is found in the catalog of the car, else do a search here.

7) concerning AMG, not that of an expert when it comes to kits, but i was reading a thread a couple of days ago, u can go for an AMG kit yet i dont recall AMG kits (Not replicas) are cheap, you need a front bumper, rear one, quad exhaust, side skirts, etc. Also do a search.

Good luck!
