so winter is at our door step, ive been looking for winter tires and found a hell of deal on used tires on craigslist.
i have 17" amg wheels
will these fit?
Fronts 225/40/17
Rears 255/40/17

You should probably provide the year and model of your CLK.
The OE wheels are staggered. Front should be 225-45-17 and rear should be 245-40-17.
As a side note, think twice to buy used tires from an unknown source. I heard terrible stories about people selling re-threaded tires.

Dave the fronts have more than a 3% difference than stock. No recommended.

why would u invest in used tires? r u sure the tires were well kept if they were placed in a garage all summer for instance, or if the tread depth is still in good condition? or maybe there is a patch inside which you might not be aware of and the tire would rupture when going into a puddle in the winter?
believe me, go search for some Nexen tires, they are amazing for what you pay. and dont underestimate a tire, it can save your life... believe me i know what i`m talkin about
(i installed 2 front on 17 inch rims and payed 200$ only for both.. they would serve a minimum of a year and a half, which is an investment not worth mentioning! - i live in the middle east , but if ur in US, i am quite sure they are cheaper there.)
