Buzzing noise when shifting from 2nd to 3rd
In the last few days I've noticed a strange buzzing noise when the gears shift from 2nd to 3rd. I start to accelerate, the transmission changes to 3rd -- BZZZTT -- and the noise stops. The noise is a vibration as if I ride over those notches on the side of the highway for a second.
The noise/vibration only occurs for when the gears shift from 2nd to 3rd and only for a split second. Then the noise disappears. It doesn't happen all the time either, just sometimes.
Recent work: Veleo radiator replaced, coolant replaced, transmission drained and filled. No known leaks of the Valeo radiator; it was replaced for peace of mind. Dealer analyzed the old fluid and did not mention anything about glycol contamination.
Related: Clicking noise comes on/off on the rear passenger side wheel. Suspecting bad CV joint or axle. The wheel does not have any play so I suspect the bearing is fine.
Anyone familiar with this? Transmission overfilled? Underfilled? Noise due to cv joint/axle?
