HID Conversion Kit
Really quick question, i read everywhere that people are buying error free HID Kits for either replacing the ones on their Bi-Xenon, or switching from Halogen to HID.
my question is fairly simple, how can i make sure when holding a HID conversion KIT in my hands that they are error free for my CLK before buying them?
(we have tons of HID Kits mostly Made in China! i guess we do have very bad experience when it comes to such kits!)
or is it that people purchase this and they become error free?

Get either OEM Bi-Xenon headlights or the ones offered in GB a while ago. They are available on ebay for about 400-500$. Dont get hids into your halogen headlights. It will look ricey and is really annoying for the other drivers on the road

Personally, I'd buy OEM bi-xenon headlights. You should be able to get a pair for around $1,600. If that's too expensive, then you can look to buy used headlights. You will often find units with broken anchor tabs, bad bulbs or ballasts going for as little as $200 each. Usually for less than $200, you can fix those problems and you end up with OEM bi-xenon headlights for under $1,000, maybe even under $800 if you get lucky.

I'm still going through the process to get a working set out of HIDextra. Their customer service is terrible... I know there was a tread on here that listed another HID company in southern CA.

If you have the Bixenon already just get a D1S for facelifted w209. they are direct swap. if you wanted to do the fogs then you have to get the Error free HIDs I believe the pre facelift w209 bixenon used D2S bulbs.

I bought a set from them to convert my fogs based on some really good reviews, hope I don't end up having issues, it's a pain in the *** to get any type of customer service over here when something goes wrong...

I hear ya. Bheng hasn't had any problems with their HID kits apparently, so you might be fine.
