cartronics anystream review

i just got this product and I can say its FREAKIN amazing

its this little adapter you put on your IPOD cable in your car and it starts recieving bluetooth signals from your phone. So you can stream VEVO, Pandora, your own music videos, mp3s!!

the best part is the UP DOWN buttons on your steering wheel are integrated within the bluetooth so you can actually skip songs on your phone WITH YOUR STEERIN WHEEL

its freakin amazing.

i bought a motorola roadster about a month ago which uses your FM signal to stream through blue tooth...it CANNOT COMPARE with the anystream

the quality is 40% with the motorola roadster
its about 95% with the anystream
if not very close to a direct ipod connection

I also got the AC clip and phone holder...cost a grip but its awesome

i watch music videos while drivin...windows down...bass bumpin...

CarTronics, i have a 2004 C230 Coupe with the BOSE sound option and a useless Harman Kardon Drive + Play. Sound is terrible. So i am considering the AnyStream after this review. Problem: as far as i recall, the radio only has one AUX in, taken up by the CD Changer. Any options so I dont have to unhook it? Or anyone else?

The Anystream is not appropriate, unless you have an iPod kit in the car. However, the StereoStream (same processor, just Aux instead of 30 pin iPod) is. The Aux port has nothing to do with the CDC. You SHOULD have an Aux port in the glovebox and can plug the StereoStream right in.

Hi,

can you explain how the StereoStream works? I have AUX port in my CLK500. I need to connect my iphone to Motorola hand-free using bluetooth, so does it work? Also, does it connect when I get inside my car? Thanks.

Stephen

It has a lithium ion battery and can be also permanently hooked to car power. So it can either be charged or powered always, or both. It does auto connect

It does auto connect/disconnect.

It will work in most w204 cars. We have had a couple with compatibility issues, but pretty rare.

Hi, I bought anystream direct from your site about month ago,
can you advise what sound quality should be on anystream connected to Mercedes ipod cable and Bluetooth music from iphone, mine sounds very cheap like little radio with no bass at all, also sound volume is very low, do I have defective device? Or anystream just so low quality. My car has Harmon kardon and Sirius or radio just sounds great,
Please advise.

You don't state the year of your car, however there is an update to the Mercedes system that allows for better sound. It is an inline amp part no A204 870 39 94

It fixes some sound issues with the factory kit. Most people buy it for about $2.

The Anystream has extremely good sound quality, given a good bitrate of course. Try it in a sound dock, and you will see a HUGE difference.

it is... the iPod kits from 2006-2008 in many models suffered this problem. Originally MB charged $150 for the amp until enough people screamed, that it was dropped to about $2!!!

Ok, just installed the amp, Merc in Naperville had one in stock for whole IL, the guy was so nice and sold it for $74. Have to remove plastic tray under glove box, no luck the cable connection wasnt there, removed whole glove box and followed the ipod cable, found the ipod module behind command unit, pull it out, pluged amp between the box and cable, did put everything back.
Yes, sound is better now , its louder and I got some bass before was flat like alarm cheap radio, but other audio sources deffinetly better.
Not sure if it was worth to buy anystream then amp , all around ~$150.
