Hi, I finally completed this project with two bottles of the neverwet from home depot.i patiently and nervously awaits the rain to validate the project.

It's May of 2018, the $6 of scotchgard I sprayed on my top in 2012 is still working. No leaks, my top still looks brand new, the seams and stitching look perfect. the top operates 100% as it should. Remember, the canvas is not water proof. It needs to be treated to be water proof. Mercedes sells their version of scotchgard for the same purpose and it's EXPEN$$$IVE. The inner layers of my top are not worn or damaged at all. The only issue was that water was weeping through the canvass itself. Not at the seams or anywhere else.
