Have a good trip!
Make sure you try and get the title if they have it. You need to have the title in hand to register the car at the CA DMV. That's why I have a temp tag, I'm waiting for the state of TX to mail the pink slip to the Credit Union.

Glad to hear you brought the car home!
Enjoy the 55 power again but you know I will tempt you to blow it up. I meant a blower.![naughty](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/naughty.gif)
But of course, cosmetic mods always come first with you starting with the wheels and painting the calipers.

Oh no........you just brought back memories of mine CL55 blown engine. For now, no blower is needed. If I feel the need for speed, your C55 SC'ed Stages 8 500 RWHP is avaliable to me pretty much any weekend.

what a long drive! funny cause i was going to make the same trip on the same days. i bought a car in Illinois and was gonna fly out tuesday and drive back 21 hours. in the end i just decided to get it transported cause it would have cost me the same. also would have saved me 2 days of being on the road. congrats on the new car klinh.

So you bought a car without even look at it first? Mine is used and so I have to do an inspection. Totals cost, $300 air tickect, $135 hotel and about $250 gas. That's just about the same to ship it. 2 days on the road actually were very nice sight seeing.

yeah i purchased it without checking it out. i'm hoping it a good car but i've received all of the info necessary and many many pictures. its a fluid motor union car and the customer service has been great. i doubt there will be any issues and if anything comes up i'm sure they will take care of it. the car left this morning and should be here by tomorrow night.

Klinh, I found a R171 that I might just go test drive, thought I'd seek your opinion. Unlike you, I don't want/need the AMG speed/power/performance and prefer the SLK300 blend of performance/economy. This one's got sat radio, Bluetooth, Xenons, and no holes in the front bumper....what's it missing?
