engine stalled and wont start!
Ok. 2003 CLK 500 with 90k+ miles on it. While driving, not wreckless, but over the speed limit, then engine just died on me! This is the second time its happened. Both times were in the evening. It started up two days later the first time and was cool for about a month. During that time I searched the forums for answers and it sounded like a Crankshaft Position Sensor problem. Ordered the sensor then it happened again! Installed the sensor(Was a pain in the ***!) but car still wont start. Turns over, but nothing! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanx

I would initially think it was the crankshaft sensor, but you've already covered that route... I honestly have no idea at this point, but best of luck to you. If I think of anything besides the CPS I will let you know

NO ERROR CODES. Asked a service tech at MB about it and you know where that lead to, Me bringing the car in and making sure I leave the Vaseline at home. HOW CAN I CHECK TO SEE IF FUEL IS REACHING THE ENGINE BECAUSE IT 'WILL START WITH STARTING FLUID'?

Happend to me numerous occasions, it was the fuel pump. Check that its underneath the seats in the back.

Good News! So I ended up tucking my tale and got it towed to the Benz Stealership. Turns out that the NEW FUEL PUMP (FROM MERCEDES) was bad. Luckily, I didn't have to come out of pocket for parts or labor because the pump was covered under the manufacturer warranty. Thank you all for your help in resolving this issue. Now its time to go burn a happy face in the pavement!

Indeed - Pressure during cranking should be > 3.8 bar at the Schrader valve on the fuel rail.
If it's not CPS it's usually fuel supply if it cranks but does not start.
