I assume it's an 08 A6 vs 07 CLK, and that's kind of what I was saying before: I want more from Audi for my Benz dollar. I'll say again that these are far different cars, but maybe you're ready for a change: you've HAD 2 CLKs! I don't know where you are, but maybe AWD is a plus (I lust after it up here in Mass, but it's the A5 that I've considered.) I think you should compare that A6 to an 08 E550. That's the right head to head matchup; no way you go Audi.

Only diff I know for sure is the wheels. Most people like the 08-09 wheels better, and I'm pretty sure the '07s are 17" were the later ones are 18". As others have said, check the engine # for the gear problem.
