Motorola Xoom in-dash install
So I decided to do a tablet in dash but I wanted it to be removable so I could take it with me or store it out of the way. I chose the Motorola Xoom to work with. Since I had a fibre optics factory audio setup, I basically had to scrap it and start over. I put an alpine head unit where my 6 disc was so that it's out of the way and the Xoom will look like my primary head unit. But really it will be docked up and an aux cable will run from the Xoom dock to the Alpine unit. This is what I have so far...
Not entirely sure where to go from here but I have a RAM Mount heading my way in the mail. I somehow need to couple the dock to the RAM mount and then attach that to the dash kit. Updates to come shortly.

Finally in and functional!
So here is the setup as we speak. It is soon going to be connected via Bluetooth Audio so that the aux plug won't have to be plugged in at all. Sorry if the quality isn't too great. By installing the Xoom, some of the features it gives me are:

pretty cool install but why not get a tablet that fits into that space....on ebay they have a nice 6" gps that has bluetooth, mp3, video everything....I am going to do a custom install in my girls BMW X5 replace her old Nav, I am going to take her LCD screen out and replace with the 6"GPS I will take that apart as well but when I am done it will look stock. Just my 2 cents
